(2) Soon, the other brother, Tarras, came home.

 

Soon, the other brother, Tarras, came home.

He said to his father, "Simon took his share. What about me?"

Again, the father refused, saying, "You, like Simon, have not worked on our farm."

Tarras then spoke to Ivan.

"Give me half of your grain and only house."

Ivan said,"Fine. Take what is your fair share."

Tarras took what he asked for and left.

The Devil was disappointed to hear about Ivan and his brothers.

He wanted people to argue.

So the Devil called three young devils to him.

"I want you to make Ivan and his brothers fight with each other." said the Devil.

"Can you make them do this?"

"Yes, master."they said.

"We will make each brother fail in his work.

 

Then they will all go back to their father's farm and argue."
